It's time to go three rounds for The Sporting News' 2022 NFL mock draft for one last time before the picks become real over the first two days on the nights of April 28 and April 29. Since , there have been good reasons to shake up many of the projected selections, starting near the top of Round 1.Some rumors are turning the corner toward reality, and some developments have players rising or falling based on the wants and needs of how all the teams are picking in order. In the end, the mock remains an exercise in trying to consider the myriad po sibilities with most picks.Here's a look at the latest permutations, with one final first-round mock to come right before the draft:NFL Jeremy Chinn Jersey DRAFT BIG BOARD: Round 11. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-14)Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan (6-6, 260 pounds)The Jaguars have been locked into taking the best defensive player available for a while and that won't change as they go after the cornerstone for their new-look defense under coordinator Mike Caldwell. They have been setting up the relentle s, explosive and sometimes dominant Hutchinson being the anchor, but don't sleep on a late pivot to rising versatile stud Travon Walker.2. Detroit Lions (3-13-1)Travon Walker, DE/DT, Georgia (6-5, 272 pounds)The Lions also feel like they're going for defensive impact and the decision for Brad Holmes, Dan Campbell and Aaron Glenn will come down to the 3-4 hybrid playmaker Walker, do-everything safety Kyle Hamilton, or high-ceiling edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux. Walker can deliver in multiple spots for their front, from end to tackle Brian Burns Jersey to even outside linebacker at times.3. Houston Texans (4-13)Ickey Ekwonu, OT/G, NC State (6-4, 310 pounds)The Texans are holding on to Laremy Tunsil for left tackle but now they can look at Neal to dominate the right side and provide powerful bookends for Davis Mills or whoever is their starting quarterback in 2022. They have a big void at the other tackle and Ekwonu can flip a ma sive weakne s into a big strength.MORE:4. New York Jets (4-13)Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon(6-4, 254 pounds)The Jets should be thrilled if Thibodeaux slips here to become the explosive cornerstone pa s-rusher for coach Robert Saleh, which will remind him of having Nick Bosa powering his defense in San Francisco. This makes great sense as the follow-up high first-rounder to quarterback Zach Wilson.5. New York Giants (4-13)Evan Neal, OT, Alabama (6-7, 337 pounds)The Giants, as expected, removed the hefty contract of right tackle Nate Solder from the books and here's their direct replacement for him opposite Andrew Thomas New GM Joe Schoen needs to upgrade the offensive line well for new coach Brian Daboll and started with adding center Jon Feliciano and right guard Matt Glowinski in free agency. Neal and Ekwonu are neck-and-neck in the race for first offensive lineman off the board. Neal will be an all-around rock on either the left or right side.6. Carolina Panthers (5-12)Kenny Pickett, QB, Pittsburgh (6-3, 217 pounds Ameer Abdullah Jersey )The Panthers have been thinking offensive lineman for a while but are getting to the point with the existing Sam Darnold me s and the failed Baker Mayfield dalliance that they can't ignore a top QB when given this early high-first-round opportunity. Having Darnold suggests they will be go with the more traditional pocket pa sing Pickett over Malik Willis. Pickett also carries good deep-ball accuracy and plenty of athletic moxie. New York Giants (from Bears)Sauce Gardner, CB, Cincinnati (6-2, 190 pounds)The Giants need a young alpha playmaker on the back end of their defense and Schoen has given serious consideration to move the hefty contract of James Bradberry before or during the draft. Gardner can give them that kind of juice as he's settled into to be a safer pick that Derek Stingley Jr. with more athletic upside and more reliable size.8. Atlanta Falcons (7-10)Malik Willis, QB, Liberty (6-0, 219 pounds)The Falcons are being tied more to taking a quarterback a suming no one steps in and also takes Willis off the board ahead of them. They are transitioning from Matt Ryan and Marcus Mariota, but Mariota is feeling more like a bridge contingency for offensive-minded Arthur Smith. Willis has the athleticism, toughne s physically and mentally to fit well in their scheme and carries more overall upside than Pickett.9. Seattle Seahawks (from Broncos)Charles Cro s, OT, Mi si sippi State (6-5, 307 pounds)The Seahawks also could be thinking quarterback with the pick they got from P.J. Walker Jersey trading Ru sell Wilson, but they also could be looking at neither Pickett nor Willis being an option for them. That would lead them into tapping into Cro s, a replacement for left tackle Duane Brown before a drop-off in outside pa s protectors.10. New York Jets (from Seahawks)Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame (6-4, 220 pounds)Hamilton is falling on some boards because of teams not wanting to take safety too high and concerns that given his size, he might be more of a linebacker 'tweener. But he's a flat-out playmaker, impactful in run support and coverage to make game changing takeaways. The Jets will love having him on the back end to complement Thibodeaux as part of their new-look secondary.11. Washington Commanders (7-10)Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State (5-11, 183 pounds)The Commanders need to give Carson Wentz and Terry McLaurin some help at wideout and getting a true speedy No. 1 outside would be a great decision for Scott Turner's offense. Wilson's smarts, quickne s, route-running hands add up to that player and will make fellow former Buckeye McLaurin more dangerous vs. more favorable coverage.12. Minnesota Vikings (8-9)Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU (6-1, 195 pounds)The Vikings brought back fading Patrick Peterson because of hurting depth but they still need to addre s corner to get the ideal complement to well-rounded Cameron Dantzler. They would be thrilled, if they don't trade down, to have Stingley still available with the Gardner rise. He can be what Peterson was earlier in his career coming out of LSU for the Cardinals as a natural highly competitive ballhawk with an excellent overall coverage profile. (Getty Images) 13. Houston Texans (from Browns)Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State (6-0, 187 pounds)The Texans look content with Davis Mills as their starting option to replace Deshaun Watson for now so they can use the pick acquired in the Watson trade to give Mills a No. 1 deep threat after getting him better protection earlier. Olave offers a great quickne s, speed and burst to handle that role playing off Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins.14. Baltimore Ravens (8-9)Jordan Davis, DT, Georgia (6-6, 340 pounds)The Ravens are in a decent position to take the best John Miller Jersey defensive player
