Hes not going to have anything but a cursory impact on the 2021 season, though, when the team is best positioned to make a significant challenge in the AFC.It became obvious to everyone involved the measly six-game suspension presented by an independent arbitrator, former Federal judge Sue L. Robinson, never was going to stand, which is why those acting on Watsons behalf during the appeal chose to accept this punishment.MORE: Watson reached a settlement earlier this year with 23 of 24 ma sage therapists who claimed he was guilty of sexual misconduct during their se sions while a player for the Texans, who drafted him in 2017. He wouldn't mi s the money.The Browns will get little from Watson for the $690,000 in base salary they are paying him for 2022. Which seems fair. But theyll have to reconcile the ma sive cap charge in 2023 for a quarterback who, on Sept. 10, 2023, will have played no more than six NFL regular season games in the previous 1,200 days. Given how they conspired with Watsons reps to mitigate the players financial discomfort, thats a least some degree of football justice.Even with this news, owner Jimmy Kelan Martin Jersey Haslam said he absolutely would trade for Watson again, apparently still delighted by the deal that cost three first-round picks, explaining, people deserve second chances. Does everyone, though, deserve a $230 million second chance?
